LIVING IN A FUTURE THAT CAN SUSTAIN US | Introduction to Permaculture
Join a Permaculture Renewal Retreat for a chance to recharge and envision an abundant future we are excited to be a part of on 340 acres of pristine and historically profound land outside of Charles Town, West Virginia (only 80 minutes outside of DC and Baltimore). You’ll leave charged with the feeling and knowledge that humans in general and you in particular can be a source of profound regeneration for our hurting planet. We have designed this weekend to be a space for participants to take a break from the everyday and tune into what makes them most excited to be alive right now, while equipping them with frameworks and takeaways to bring into their lives back home.
Permaculture is among the most important emerging schools of thought for this coming century — and it’s time to dig deep!

Claymont Society for Continuous Education
Work Weekend
September 21-23, 2018
“Being Alone Together”
This weekend will provide an opportunity to reclaim and advance our comfort with silence, with emptiness, and the stillness that lies behind our everyday actions. We will be working alone and in the company of others as we practice letting go of some of the external supports that we habitually use to shield ourselves from the quiet but profound voice that calls to us from our deepest self. Meals will be simple and most of our activities will be done in silence.
The weekend will be led by Lance Dom, who was on the First Basic Course at Claymont.
Activities for the weekend will include guided sittings and explorations, movements, practical work, and inner sharing. You are cordially invited to join us in our work and exploration.
The weekend will begin with dinner at 6:30 pm on Friday September 21, 2018 and end after lunch on Sunday September 23, 2018. All activities will be at the Mansion.
Suggested donation for the seminar is $95 if you are staying overnight at Claymont and $60 if you are not staying overnight at Claymont. However, do not let the cost prevent you from coming, financial assistance is available.
